A private mail-receiving agency in Alaska
By J J Luna Several years ago I made a series of expensive trips throughout Alaska—including one to Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands—searching for a private mail forwarding service with these features: · No ID or SSN required. · Excellent daily mail service. · A distant location that would be difficult to check out. · An exclusive U.S. street address with no telltale box number added. The search finally ended when I met with Judith C. in Fairbanks. Judith had years of experience with a previous mail-forwarding service and currently runs her accounting business from her own private location. In order to avoid the USPS requirements of a commercial mail receiving agency (CMRA), a private club was formed. - Membership is limited solely to those of you who own one or more of my books or e-reports.
- Since no identification is needed, you may use any name or names, and you can use a street address, a P.O. box number, or both.
- You will be furnished with the owner's e-mail address and she can respond by e-mail to any special requests you may have.
This basic service is ideal for those who plan to use the address for vehicle llicensing, real estate tax notices, bank statements, and so on. (Note: If allowed, always choose the P.O. box because it is the most private.)
Pricing: There is an initial one-time fee when setting up your Alaska address service. This is for membership in the JJL Club. (U. S. Postal regulations for photo ID do not apply because this service is for members only, not available to the general public.) Rosie Enriquez, secretary, handles all day-to-day details. The minimum amount of $195 entitles you to apply for a special mail-forwarding service in Fairbanks, Alaska using a single name. Permission to use up to six additional personal or business names is at the rate of an additional $50 per name. The member ship fees, therefore, are: One name, $195. Two names, $245. Three names, $295. Four names, $345 Five names, $395. Six names, $445. Seven names, $495.
To the above figure add:
For up to 12 letters per year, $150. For up to 30 letters per year, $200 For hundred of letters, contact me. Number of names: PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. Choose the maximum number of names you may eventually use. For instance, if you plan to use just one name for now, but may add two more names on later, choose three names. Whether you choose one name or five, your annual fee will be the same: $150.
What if you choose (for example) two names, but later decide you need an additional name? In that case, you will have to fill out a new application, pay $195, and also pay a second annual fee of $150 each year. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Your address: All letters will be forwarded to the same address you will list in the "Please send my mail to—" section of the application. If you change your address, make sure to send the mail service your new one. To proceed, please contact me. Payment may be either online or by mail.
